The Falcon 6X price is reported at about $52.75 million for an equipped new aircraft (Business Jet Traveler, August 2022), up from the $47 million AOPA reported when the jet was rolled out in December 2020. Dassault lists a range of 5,500 nautical miles and a cabin 102 inches wide, which is why the dassault falcon 6x is often called a widebody twinjet (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026).
Dassault does not publish a price for the 6X, so every dollar figure here is reported, attributed and dated. This guide covers what the jet costs new and used, the specs, the cabin and flight deck, what it costs to fly, and how the Falcon 6X compares with the Gulfstream G500 and G600, the Bombardier Global 6500 and the Challenger 650.
Falcon 6X Price
New: List Price, Equipped Price and Why They Differ
Two numbers circulate for a new Falcon 6X, and they describe different moments. AOPA gave the price as $47 million in its report on the jet’s rollout (December 8, 2020). Business Jet Traveler put the estimated equipped price at $52.75 million in a pre-delivery review published in August 2022. An equipped price includes the avionics and interior options that nearly every buyer adds, so $52.75 million is the more realistic reference for a jet configured like most of the fleet.
Prices have moved since those dates, and neither source is a quote. Treat the low $50 millions as a planning range and ask a broker for the figure on a current delivery slot. Our Dassault Falcon 8X price guide shows where the three-engine jet sits above it.
Used: A Market With Almost Nothing in It
There is no meaningful used price for the Falcon 6X yet. JetNet’s marketplace page showed 31 airframes tracked, 26 sold and none currently for sale, with an average year of 2025 (read November 2026). Jetcraft wrote in March 2025 that every Falcon 6X in service was still with its original owner, “None are currently for sale nor for lease.”
That matters if you were hoping for a discount. A jet that is two or three years old and not listed for sale cannot be priced from listings, and any broker quoting a used figure is estimating. Off-market sales happen privately, so the honest answer is that the new price is the only usable benchmark today.
How Many Falcon 6X Are There?
Dassault does not publish a running count on the aircraft page. Two attributed snapshots help. JetNet’s marketplace page showed 31 airframes tracked in November 2026. Jetcraft said 21 had been built since production began, in an article dated March 27, 2025. Aviation Week reported that the first customer delivery went onto the Swiss registry on February 18, 2024 (Aviation Week, February 20, 2024).
Falcon 6X History: From Certification to Delivery
Dassault Aviation announced that EASA issued the Falcon 6X type certificate on August 22, 2023, with the FAA following (Dassault Aviation press release, August 22, 2023). The release said the approval concluded a test campaign of more than two years and 1,500 flight hours, and quoted chairman Eric Trappier calling it the first brand new business jet to comply with the latest regulations.
AIN reported in May 2024 that the 6X entered service on November 30, after certification. By the end of April 2024, demonstrator number 004 had flown about 500 hours and nearly 300 flights across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific (AIN, May 2024). The 6X was unveiled in 2018 as the successor to the Falcon 5X, and first flew in 2021 (Jetcraft, March 2025).
Falcon 6X Specs
Dassault states range as 5,500 nautical miles with eight passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, with a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.90, and Mach 0.85 for nonstop flights up to 5,100 nautical miles (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026). Real trips depend on winds, routing and payload. Jetcraft quotes 5,665 nautical miles with four passengers and 5,300 at maximum payload (March 2025), which shows how much the loading assumption moves the headline number.

The Engines
The PW812D is a Pratt & Whitney Canada engine rated at 13,500 pounds of thrust each at sea level (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026). Dassault’s own aircraft page carries that figure, while Jetcraft’s article quotes 13,460 pounds, a small difference that comes down to which rating each source uses. Ask any seller which engine program an aircraft is enrolled in, because it affects running cost more than the thrust rating.
The Cabin
Width and Height
Dassault lists a cabin 102 inches wide and 78 inches high, with 1,843 cubic feet of volume (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026). Its press release calls the 6X the most spacious twinjet in the long-range business jet segment (Dassault Aviation, August 22, 2023). That is a manufacturer claim, and the comparison table below lets you check it against published figures for the rivals.
For context, 78 inches is 6 ft 6 in, taller than the 6 ft 2 in Gulfstream publishes for the G500 and G600 cabins (gulfstream.com, read November 2026). Width and height are what you feel when you stand up, move past a seated guest or lie down, which is why they matter more than the length on a spec sheet.
Natural Light, Zones and Layouts
Dassault describes a skylight and 30 extra-large windows, with an optional Privacy Suite (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026). Business Jet Traveler described a typical layout with conference seating for six and an aft stateroom (August 2022). Dassault certifies the cabin for 12 to 16 passengers, and Jetcraft cites a typical 16-passenger, two-crew configuration (March 2025).
Each aircraft is finished to its buyer’s specification, so two 6Xs can feel very different. Check the layout sheet, especially the galley, the lavatory and the bed. If sleeping comfort drives your choice, our guide to best private jets with beds covers the sleeping layouts across the market.
The Flight Deck
The 6X uses the EASy IV flight deck, based on the Honeywell Primus Epic system, with the FalconSphere electronic flight bag (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026). Dassault says the Digital Flight Control System controls all flight surfaces and provides envelope protection, pitch and roll damping and yaw stability. The wing uses flaperons and a large rudder, with integrated nosewheel steering.
FalconEye is Dassault’s combined vision system. The company says it gives guidance on approaches down to 100 feet before the runway is in sight (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026). Business Jet Traveler said the wing design allows steep approaches such as London City (August 2022), which matters for city airports with short runways. For a buyer, the question is which avionics and software updates a specific aircraft carries.
Running and Charter Cost
Charter per Hour
Most readers will fly a Falcon 6X as a charter passenger. Charter quotes are set trip by trip, and taxes, handling fees, de-icing and positioning flights come on top of the hourly rate. Ask for the quote with every fee itemized, and see our private jet charter cost guide for how large-cabin rates are built.

Owning One
Dassault does not publish operating costs for the 6X. Crew, hangar, insurance, maintenance programs and fuel make up the budget, and the engine program a given aircraft is enrolled in moves it most. A specialist should price the exact aircraft before you commit, and our cost of owning a private jet guide explains each category.
Falcon 6X vs Rivals
The Falcon 6X competes in the large-cabin, long-range segment. Business Jet Traveler named the Gulfstream G500 and the Global 5500 as its direct competitors (August 2022). This table adds the G600, the longer-range Bombardier Global 6500 and the Challenger 650 as a smaller reference.
| Falcon 6X | Gulfstream G500 | Gulfstream G600 | Bombardier Global 6500 | Challenger 650 | Source | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maximum range | 5,500 nm | 5,300 nm | 6,600 nm | 6,600 nm | 4,000 nm | Dassault, Gulfstream, Bombardier, read November 2026 |
| Cabin length | 40.3 ft | 41 ft 6 in | 45 ft 2 in | 43 ft 3 in | 25 ft 7 in | Dassault, Gulfstream, Bombardier, read November 2026 |
| Cabin width | 8 ft 6 in | 7 ft 7 in | 7 ft 7 in | 7 ft 11 in | 7 ft 11 in | Dassault, Gulfstream, Bombardier, read November 2026 |
| Cabin height | 6 ft 6 in | 6 ft 2 in | 6 ft 2 in | 6 ft 2 in | 6 ft 0 in | Dassault, Gulfstream, Bombardier, read November 2026 |
| Passengers | 12 to 16 | Up to 19 | Up to 19 | Up to 17 | Up to 12 | Dassault, Gulfstream, Bombardier, read November 2026 |
| Engines | 2 PW812D | 2 PW814GA | 2 PW815GA | Rolls-Royce Pearl | 2 GE CF34-3B | Dassault, Gulfstream, Bombardier, read November 2026 |
The published figures back Dassault’s width and height claim: 8 ft 6 in by 6 ft 6 in is larger in cross-section than every other jet in the table. Gulfstream’s G500 cabin length of 41 ft 6 in excludes baggage, and Bombardier’s 43 ft 3 in is measured from the cockpit divider to the aftmost cabin area, so lengths are not perfectly like for like. Each manufacturer defines range with its own assumptions as well.
Falcon 6X vs Gulfstream G500 and G600
The G500 is the nearest Gulfstream rival, at 5,300 nautical miles against the 6X’s 5,500 (Gulfstream, read November 2026). The G600 reaches 6,600 nautical miles but is a larger and more expensive jet. See our Gulfstream G600 price guide for its costs.
Falcon 6X vs Bombardier Global 6500 and Challenger 650
The Global 6500 matches the G600 on range and offers up to 17 seats (Bombardier, read November 2026). Our Bombardier Global 6500 price guide covers its pricing. The Challenger 650 is a smaller, older jet with a 4,000 nautical mile range, useful as a reference point for how far the large-cabin class has moved on.
Verdict: pick the 6X for cabin cross-section and a twin-engine design with steep-approach capability. Pick a Gulfstream G600 or Global 6500 for more range. For the next Dassault, see the Dassault Falcon 10X price guide.
