The Bombardier Global 6500 price starts at around $56 million new, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons (read November 2026). Bombardier lists a maximum range of 6,600 nautical miles and a cabin 43 ft 3 in long (bombardier.com, read November 2026), which puts the Global 6500 between the Global 5500 and the Global 7500 in the family.

Bombardier does not publish a price for the Global 6500, so every dollar figure here is reported, attributed and dated. Treat each as a working range, not a quote. This guide covers what the jet costs, how it differs from the Global 6000 it replaced, the specs, the cabin and how it stacks up against the Gulfstream G600, the Dassault Falcon 6X and the Global 7500. For every Bombardier model side by side, see our Bombardier private jet price list.

New: What the Reported Numbers Say

Private Jet Card Comparisons says Global 6500 pricing “starts at around $56 million” and describes the jet as an upgraded version of the Global 6000 introduced in 2018 (read November 2026). That is a starting figure for a base aircraft. Interior choices, avionics options and the delivery slot all move the final invoice, and a buyer should expect to be quoted above the starting number.

The jet is still being sold. On December 18, 2025, Bombardier announced that the Royal Canadian Air Force had bought six Global 6500s, and said the order was worth around $400 million once military modifications were added to the aircraft’s current list price (Bombardier press release via AviationPros, December 2025). That order includes special-mission work, so it is not a per-aircraft price for a private buyer.

Used: A Thin Market Read Through the Global 6000

No trade source publishes a used reference price for the Global 6500 on its own. The jet is young, and few change hands in public. The closest published reference is the Global 6000, the aircraft it grew out of, covered below.

Total time, engine time, engine program enrollment, damage history and records all move a single aircraft’s price. For a real number, ask a broker for sold comparables, not asking prices.

The Global 6000 Price for Context

Private Jet Card Comparisons gives $46,000,000 for a new Global 6000 and $25,500,000 as a used figure (read November 2026). The page lists the Global 6000 as in production from 2012. The Global 6500 replaced the Global 6000 in practice, so the older price is a reference point for the used market rather than a current quote.

Bombardier Global 6500 Specs

Bombardier states its range as a theoretical figure: 6,600 nautical miles with NBAA IFR reserves, ISA conditions, Mach 0.85, eight passengers and four crew. Actual range varies with speed, weather and options (bombardier.com, read November 2026).

Bombardier describes the 6,600 nautical miles as the farthest range in its class and says the jet offers the slowest landing speeds in its class (bombardier.com, read November 2026). Those are manufacturer claims, so weigh them against the Gulfstream and Dassault numbers further down.

What Changed From the Global 6000

The Global 6500 is not a new airframe. It is the Global 6000 with a new engine, a reworked wing and a cabin borrowed from the Global 7500 era. Aviation Week reported in 2022 that the Global 5500 and 6500 offer “500 nm and 600 nm of additional range, respectively, over the Global 5000 and 6000,” and that Transport Canada certified the pair in 2019, with EASA and the FAA following within months (Aviation Week, April 2022).

Engines and Wing

Aviation Week describes “purpose-built Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines” and a “newly optimized wing” on the 5500 and 6500 (April 2022). Bombardier’s own page lists the Pearl at 15,125 lbf and a Smooth Flex Wing that it says acts like an in-air shock absorber to help dampen turbulence (read November 2026). Aviation Week also cites a fuel burn advantage of up to 13% for the family, per Bombardier. The Global 6500 also has a higher speed ceiling: Private Jet Card Comparisons lists Mach 0.90 for the 6500 against Mach 0.89 for the 6000 (read November 2026).

Cabin and Seating

Aviation Week says the 5500 and 6500 “debuted the Nuage chaise,” a lounge chair that converts to a flat surface, and calls the Nuage seat “the first new seating architecture in business aviation in more than 30 years” (April 2022). The fuselage cross-section carried over, so the changes are in the finish and the seating rather than the tube: Bombardier lists the Global 6500 cabin at 43 ft 3 in long, 7 ft 11 in wide and 6 ft 2 in high (read November 2026).

The Cabin

Zones and Seating

Bombardier lists up to 17 passengers. It describes a Club suite with four patented Nuage zero-gravity seats and a Private suite with two (bombardier.com, read November 2026). A Nuage chaise is an available conference-area seat that converts into a flat surface for sleeping. As with any large-cabin jet, the real layout depends on the buyer, so a used Global 6500 can differ a lot from the next one on the ramp. Check the specification sheet of the exact aircraft, especially the galley, the bathroom and the bed.

Air, Light and Connectivity

Bombardier says the Soleil lighting system and Pur Air are exclusive to the Global family, and lists available high-speed internet and Iridium Certus readiness (bombardier.com, read November 2026). It also says its cockpit is the first in the industry to offer a true combined vision system. For a buyer, the question is which of these options a specific used aircraft actually carries.

Running and Charter Cost

Charter per Hour

Most readers will fly a jet like this as a passenger. Charter quotes are set trip by trip, and taxes, de-icing, landing and handling fees and positioning flights come on top. Our private jet charter cost guide explains how a quote is built.

Owning One

Bombardier does not publish operating costs for the Global 6500. Fixed costs such as crew, hangar, insurance and engine programs depend on the aircraft and where it is based. Our cost of owning a private jet guide explains the categories, and a specialist can price a specific aircraft before you commit.

Global 6500 vs Rivals

The Global 6500 competes with a short list of large-cabin jets. The Gulfstream G600 matches its published range. The Dassault Falcon 6X trades range for a wider cabin. The Bombardier Global 8000, which now sits at the top of the family on Bombardier’s site, is the step up in range and size.

Each manufacturer states its own range under its own assumptions, mostly eight passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, so the comparison is close but not identical. Dassault adds that the Falcon 6X can fly up to 5,100 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 (dassaultfalcon.com, read November 2026).

Bombardier or Gulfstream?

Neither brand wins on every count. On the numbers above, the Global 6500 and the Gulfstream G600 share a 6,600 nautical mile range, and the G600 is about 2 ft longer in the cabin with seats for up to 19. The Global 6500 is wider by four inches. Our Gulfstream G600 price guide has the Gulfstream side, and the Bombardier price list has the rest of the Global family. For the next size up, see the Bombardier Global 7500 price guide, and for the smaller Bombardier option see the Challenger 650 price guide.

The Falcon 6X

The Falcon 6X gives up about 1,100 nautical miles of stated range to the Global 6500 but offers the broadest cross-section on paper. Our Dassault Falcon 6X price guide covers it in detail.

Verdict: pick the Global 6500 if you want proven Bombardier support, a 6,600 nautical mile range and Nuage seating at a reported starting price near $56 million. Pick the G600 for a longer cabin and more seats. Pick the Falcon 6X if cabin width matters more than range.

Questions Buyers Ask

How much does a Global 6500 jet cost?
Private Jet Card Comparisons says Global 6500 pricing starts at around $56 million (read November 2026). Bombardier publishes no price, so interior, options and delivery slot decide what a buyer actually pays. Treat the figure as a starting point for a conversation with a broker.
Which is better, Bombardier vs Gulfstream?
Neither wins outright. The Global 6500 and Gulfstream G600 both list 6,600 nautical miles of range, with the G600 offering a longer cabin and the Global 6500 a wider one (manufacturer sites, read November 2026). Compare support, delivery slots and the exact aircraft, not the badge.
What is the Bombardier Global 6000 range?
Private Jet Card Comparisons lists up to 6,000 nautical miles for the Global 6000, against up to 6,600 for the Global 6500 (read November 2026). Aviation Week reported the 6500 adds 600 nautical miles over the 6000 (April 2022).
Is the Global 6500 still in production?
Yes. Bombardier announced on December 18, 2025 that the Royal Canadian Air Force bought six Global 6500s, and the jet remains on Bombardier's current aircraft pages (AviationPros, December 2025; bombardier.com, read November 2026).
How many passengers does the Global 6500 seat?
Bombardier lists up to 17 passengers in a cabin 43 ft 3 in long, 7 ft 11 in wide and 6 ft 2 in high (read November 2026). Most owners choose fewer seats and add a sleeping area, so the real number depends on the layout of the aircraft.
