The most expensive cruise on sale is Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ 140-night World Cruise, departing Miami on January 11, 2027, with a top fare of $839,999 per guest for the Regent Suite, per Regent’s announcement via NCLH in April 2024. That is about $6,000 per guest per night. The same voyage starts at $91,499 per guest in a Veranda Suite, about $654 a night.

“Most expensive” has three honest answers: the most per voyage, the most per night and the most per suite. They are not the same cruise. This guide gives each, with the source and date beside every figure. The Regent figures are the launch prices from April 2024, and fares move, so confirm availability with the line before you plan around them.

Rankings by voyage are easy, because the world cruise is the longest published sailing at the top of the market. It is also a launch price, and fares move. Silversea’s 149-night 2027 World Cruise on Silver Dawn is longer still, but Cruise Passenger, an Australian outlet, reported its fares in May 2024 without naming the currency, so we leave it out of a table priced in US dollars.

The Regent Suite fare of $839,999 per guest becomes about $1.7 million for two guests, per NCLH. Our own calculation gives $1,679,998.

The Most Expensive Cruise per Night

Dividing by nights changes the ranking. The Regent Suite is about $6,000 per guest per night on both world voyages, because the longer sailing is not cheaper per night at the top. At the entry level the 140-night voyage is the better value per night, about $654 against about $675.

A short sailing on a new ultra-luxury yacht can cost more per night than a world cruise on a per-suite basis. Cruise Passenger reported in December 2025 that a seven-day Four Seasons I sailing started from US$25,000 per cabin, which is about $3,571 per cabin per night by our calculation. Its headline cited $5,000 per night, and the article did not explain how that figure was reached. Four Seasons I carries up to 222 guests in 95 suites, per Four Seasons in 2026.

The Most Expensive Cruise Suites

The suite is where the top fare comes from. Regent lists the Regent Suite at 4,443 square feet on deck 14, with a 1,300-square-foot wraparound veranda and 270-degree views, per NCLH in 2024. It includes an in-suite spa with sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, a butler, a personal car and driver in every port, an original Picasso and a Hästens bed valued at over $200,000. By comparison, Regent’s Veranda Suite is 307 square feet.

Four Seasons I lists suites from 581 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor space, per Cruise Passenger in December 2025. Its seven signature suites range from 277 to 927 square meters (2,981 to 9,975 square feet) of indoor and outdoor space, per Four Seasons in 2026. The Regent figure is the suite alone, so do not compare the two directly. For a full comparison, see luxury cruise suites.

What a Top Fare Includes

The Regent World Cruise fare bundles what other lines sell separately. NCLH lists unlimited shore excursions (486 in its count), first-class airfare for the voyage, a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay in Miami, five complimentary specialty restaurants, premium beverages, unlimited Wi-Fi, unlimited valet laundry and door-to-door luggage service. The Regent Suite adds a butler and a car and driver at each port.

The Most Expensive Cruise Ship to Build

Building cost is a different record. Cruise Hive reported in December 2024 that Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas cost roughly $2 billion to build, which it called the most expensive cruise ship ever constructed, citing BBC News for the figure. It is a mass-market ship, not a luxury one, and it does not set the price of a ticket.
