The best luxury resorts St Lucia has on record are Jade Mountain, the only hotel on the island with Two MICHELIN Keys (24 suites), and two One-Key neighbors in Soufrière, Ladera Resort (37 suites) and Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort (130 rooms). Jade Mountain is also the island’s only Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star among the resorts listed.

This guide sticks to what a rating body or the resort itself has put on record: Keys, stars, room counts, drive times and the rules for arriving by private jet. Where a resort publishes no rate, we say so once and give no number.

How We Picked

We used two judges. The MICHELIN Guide awards Keys to hotels, and its 2026 selection counts three in Saint Lucia, all in the Soufrière district (Travel Market Report, Oct 5, 2026). Forbes Travel Guide rates hotels through inspections, and its Saint Lucia page lists each resort’s rating in the 2026 Star Awards (forbestravelguide.com, 2026).

A resort’s own awards page is attributed to the resort. We took no paid placement.

The Best Luxury Resorts in St Lucia

Jade Mountain

Two MICHELIN Keys, described as an “Exceptional stay” in the 2026 selection, as Jade Mountain’s own awards page also states (guide.michelin.com, 2026; jademountain.com, 2026). It has 24 Sanctuary suites, each with a private pool, plus Sky suites with a private whirlpool instead, and the rooms have open walls to the Pitons. Guests must be 16 or older (guide.michelin.com, 2026).

Forbes lists Jade Mountain at Four-Star (forbestravelguide.com, Nov 2026). The resort’s awards page lists a Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice 2026 ranking of number one resort in the Caribbean and the Atlantic and a Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2026 ranking of number one resort in Saint Lucia (jademountain.com, 2026). Guests can use the neighboring Anse Chastanet facilities, including two beaches and a coral reef for snorkeling.

Ladera Resort

One MICHELIN Key, first earned in the 2025 guide and retained in 2026, with 37 suites (Travel Market Report, Oct 5, 2026). Ladera says it is “the only resort within this UNESCO World Heritage site,” with Piton views from its pools and villas (ladera.com, 2026). Forbes lists it as soon to be rated (forbestravelguide.com, Nov 2026), so the Key is its paper record today.

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

One MICHELIN Key and 130 rooms on about 100 acres of rainforest between the Pitons, on the former Jalousie Plantation (guide.michelin.com, 2026). Accommodations run from Sugar Mill rooms with plunge pools to freestanding villas, beachfront bungalows and two- to four-bedroom residences. It is about 26 miles (45 minutes) from Hewanorra International Airport. Forbes rates it Recommended (forbestravelguide.com, Nov 2026). MICHELIN lists extra beds at $75 per guest per night.

Anse Chastanet

Forbes Travel Guide Recommended for 2026, according to the resort’s awards page, which also lists a Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice 2026 rank of number six in the Caribbean and the Atlantic (ansechastanet.com, 2026). It sits on a 600-acre estate near the Pitons with two soft-sand beaches, Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin, and a dive center on the beach, Scuba St. Lucia (ansechastanet.com, 2026). It carries no MICHELIN Key in the 2026 selection of three.

Cap Maison

A Relais & Châteaux property in Gros Islet near the island’s northern tip, with 49 rooms, suites and villas (relaischateaux.com, Nov 2026). It is not among the three MICHELIN Key hotels or on the Forbes Saint Lucia page, so its case rests on the Relais & Châteaux membership and the resort’s own description. It is the northern pick for a smaller, house-style stay.

BodyHoliday

An all-inclusive wellness resort at Cariblue Beach, Cap Estate. Its own site says the rate includes a one-hour therapeutic treatment daily, meditation, tai chi, a full yoga program and fitness classes, while holistic and Ayurvedic treatments and skin clinic facials cost extra (thebodyholiday.com, 2026). For a wider wellness shortlist, see our luxury wellness retreats guide.

Calabash Cove

An all-inclusive, adults-only boutique resort at Marisule, Gros Islet, with Water’s Edge Cottages, Swim-Up Junior Suites and Sunset Ocean View Junior Suites. It says it is about 90 minutes from Hewanorra and about 10 minutes from George F. L. Charles Airport (calabashcove.com, 2026). It lists no Forbes or MICHELIN rating, so it is the adults-only option on the strength of its own description.

Windjammer Landing

On Labrelotte Bay on the northwest coast, across 60 acres of hillside, with 19 accommodation types from rooms to four-bedroom villas and a dedicated families section (windjammer-landing.com, 2026). Forbes rates it Recommended (forbestravelguide.com, Nov 2026). Condé Nast Traveller, quoted on its site, calls it a “beloved family resort” after its recent overhaul.

Verdict: for the strongest paper record, Jade Mountain. For a Key with the most space, Sugar Beach. For the north of the island, Cap Maison.

What a Night Costs

Most of these resorts price by date and room type and do not publish a fixed nightly rate. The one published from-rate is Cap Maison’s: its Relais & Châteaux page shows from $702 for one night in a Garden View Room, taxes included, with no dates selected (relaischateaux.com, Nov 2026).

The MICHELIN pages for Jade Mountain and Sugar Beach show no room prices, only supplements. Jade Mountain lists extra beds at $150 per person per night for guests 16 and older, and a transfer at $95 per trip (guide.michelin.com, 2026). For a real quote, read the resort’s own booking page for your week. Suite prices at the very top of the market sit in another league: see our guide to the most expensive hotels in the world.

Where to Stay: Areas

Soufrière and the Pitons

This is where the island’s three MICHELIN Keys sit: Jade Mountain, Ladera and Sugar Beach, plus Anse Chastanet. The trade-off is distance. Sugar Beach lists 45 minutes from Hewanorra, and Jade Mountain lists about 55 minutes from the island’s airport (guide.michelin.com, 2026).

Cap Estate and Rodney Bay

Cap Maison near the northern tip and BodyHoliday at Cariblue Beach in Cap Estate give the north a clear address each (relaischateaux.com, Nov 2026; thebodyholiday.com, 2026). Calabash Cove, just to the northwest, says it is about 10 minutes from George F. L. Charles Airport (calabashcove.com, 2026).

The Northwest Coast

Windjammer Landing at Labrelotte Bay and Calabash Cove at Marisule both sit on the northwest side, close to Gros Islet (windjammer-landing.com, 2026; calabashcove.com, 2026).

Best for Couples and Adults Only

Jade Mountain takes guests 16 and older (guide.michelin.com, 2026), which makes it the most recognized grown-up setting on the island. Calabash Cove calls itself an all-inclusive, adults-only boutique resort (calabashcove.com, 2026). Among the others here, Windjammer Landing markets to families as well as couples.

Best for All-Inclusive

BodyHoliday and Calabash Cove both describe themselves as all-inclusive on their own sites (thebodyholiday.com, 2026; calabashcove.com, 2026). Windjammer Landing lists a Premium All Inclusive dining option as an offer (windjammer-landing.com, 2026). None of these carries a MICHELIN Key, and BodyHoliday’s inclusions stop short of holistic and Ayurvedic treatments. For the full all-inclusive field, see our luxury all-inclusive resorts guide.

For the wider region, our best luxury hotels in the Caribbean guide carries a short St Lucia section. This page goes deeper on the island alone. Those looking for the luxury hotels St Lucia lists at the top tier can also check our Forbes Five-Star hotels page, which tracks the highest Forbes ratings worldwide.

Arriving by Private Jet: Hewanorra and George F. L. Charles

Saint Lucia has two airports. Hewanorra International (UVF) is at the southern tip of the island in Vieux Fort, about 40 miles south of Castries, and George F. L. Charles (SLU) is alongside Vigie Beach in Castries (stlucia.org, 2026; slaspa.com, 2026).

Hewanorra for Soufrière

For Jade Mountain, Ladera and Sugar Beach, Hewanorra is the closer airport, at 45 to 55 minutes by road from the resorts that list a time. The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) levies a permit fee for private jet operation on top of its standard airport charges (SLASPA aviation rates page, 2026).

George F. L. Charles for the North

SLASPA’s policy on private aircraft at George F. L. Charles sets conditions, in a document titled as revised 2.5.12 (SLASPA, accessed Nov 2026):

  • Aircraft must not exceed ICAO Code 3C, with a wingspan of no more than 28.5 meters (93.5 feet).
  • Details and an indemnity form must reach the airport manager’s office at least 24 hours before the flight, and SLASPA can deny any application.
  • Flights run in daylight, in no rain and with visibility of at least 6 km, unless the authority authorizes otherwise.
  • Overnighting aircraft are directed to park at Hewanorra.

Larger cabins therefore plan for Hewanorra and a road transfer. For how a charter is priced and arranged, read our private jet charter hub.
