The best luxury hotels in Nashville by outside recognition are Four Seasons Hotel Nashville and The Hermitage Hotel. Each holds Two MICHELIN Keys, per the MICHELIN Guide’s hotel pages, and Four Seasons is also a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel for 2026, a rating it shares in the city only with The Joseph.

Those are the luxury hotels Nashville visitors shortlist first, and the order below follows the evidence rather than the brochures. No Nashville hotel is a Forbes Five-Star, and none of these hotels publishes a fixed nightly rate, so the cost section explains how pricing works instead.

How We Picked

We combined three things: the MICHELIN Guide’s Nashville hotel listing and hotel pages (November 2026), the Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards 2026 as shown on its Nashville destination and hotel pages, and a spread across the areas where visitors actually stay. Room counts and addresses come from those pages, and where a page does not give a count we leave it out. We take no paid placement.

Nashville is a younger luxury market than London or New York, and the ratings show it. Forbes lists no Five-Star hotel here. Its 2026 hotel pages show Four Seasons Hotel Nashville and The Joseph as Four-Star, and 1 Hotel Nashville, Conrad Nashville, The Hermitage Hotel, JW Marriott Nashville and Southall Farm & Inn in Franklin as Recommended.

Keys vs Stars: Two Different Judges

MICHELIN’s Keys reward the whole stay: design, setting, service and personality. Forbes sends anonymous inspectors and weights service. In Nashville the two disagree in a useful way. The Hermitage is only Recommended by Forbes but holds Two Keys, while The Joseph is a Forbes Four-Star and shows no Key on MICHELIN’s listing page. Use the Keys for character and the Stars for service polish.

The Best Luxury Hotels in Nashville

Four Seasons Hotel Nashville

Two MICHELIN Keys and Forbes Four-Star for 2026. It stands at 100 Demonbreun Street in SoBro, overlooking the Cumberland River, and MICHELIN lists 235 rooms. Forbes says it occupies floors seven to 14 of its tower, with a seventh-floor pool terrace that has river views and floating daybeds, and a 2,238 square foot Presidential Suite. Mimo serves Southern Italian cooking and Riviere is a French-themed rooftop bar. Forbes puts it 8 to 12 minutes from BNA.

The Hermitage Hotel

Two MICHELIN Keys and Forbes Recommended for 2026. It opened in 1910 on Sixth Avenue North, was Nashville’s first million-dollar hotel and is the only accommodation in Tennessee with National Landmark status, per Forbes Travel Guide. Forbes counts 122 rooms and suites; MICHELIN lists 123, so treat the figure as roughly 120. The lobby’s stained-glass ceiling was restored in a 2022 renovation, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten is behind Drusie & Darr and The Pink Hermit. MICHELIN notes afternoon tea in the lobby.

The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel

Forbes Four-Star for 2026, per its Forbes Travel Guide hotel page, which calls it “Nashville’s art oasis.” It has 297 rooms in a 21-story tower at 401 Korean Veterans Boulevard in SoBro, opened in August 2020, per Forbes Travel Guide. Public spaces are members-only, but MICHELIN says a room key makes guests members for the night. Club Cecconi’s, a Northern Italian restaurant, is on site.

Southall Farm & Inn

One MICHELIN Key and Forbes Recommended for 2026. It is in Franklin, about 25 minutes south of Nashville per Forbes, and has a 62-room inn plus 16 hillside cottages. It opened in 2022 on more than 500 acres, with a 2,000-tree orchard, a 15,000 square foot spa and the January restaurant. BNA is 30 to 50 minutes away, per Forbes.

Noelle

A 224-room boutique hotel at 200 4th Avenue North in the Arts District, per the MICHELIN Guide, which lists it in its Nashville hotel selection. It occupies a 1929 Art Deco building that reopened as a hotel in early 2018. The penthouse has two bedrooms and a dining room for six, and the ground floor holds a Barista Parlor café.

Fairlane Hotel

An 81-room hotel at 401 Union Street, in a former 1970s bank building, per the MICHELIN Guide, which lists it in its Nashville selection. The interiors follow the era with warm tones and bold color, and rooms have “peek-a-boo” showers. Ellington’s is the on-site restaurant, and Broadway is a few blocks south.

Thompson Nashville

A 224-room hotel in The Gulch at 401 11th Avenue South, per the MICHELIN Guide, which lists it in its Nashville selection. It has a rooftop bar and Marsh House, a restaurant serving Southern cooking. Custom room details and local art in the lobby give it a boutique feel despite the size.

What a Night Costs

Nashville hotels do not make this easy. The Forbes Travel Guide pages for Four Seasons, The Hermitage, The Joseph, 1 Hotel, Conrad, JW Marriott and Southall give no nightly amount and say rates vary by room type and season, and the MICHELIN pages show no nightly price either. The published figures are fees: The Hermitage lists parking at $55 a day and an extra bed at $55 per person per night, per its MICHELIN page in November 2026.

Check the hotel’s own booking page for your dates, since weekends, CMA Fest and big arena nights move prices sharply. For suite prices around the world, see our guide to the most expensive hotels in the world.

Where to Stay: Areas

Downtown and SoBro

Four Seasons, The Joseph and JW Marriott all sit in SoBro, per their Forbes addresses, near Broadway, the Cumberland River and Bridgestone Arena. 1 Hotel is across from Music City Center on Demonbreun Street. This is the most convenient base for first visits.

The Arts District

The Hermitage, Noelle and Fairlane are all in the Arts District on the north side of downtown, per their MICHELIN pages, a short step from the state capitol area and Broadway.

The Gulch

Thompson Nashville is in The Gulch, per the MICHELIN Guide, within walking distance of record shops, boutiques and music venues.

Midtown and West End

Conrad Nashville is at 1620 West End Avenue, about half a mile from Music Row and Vanderbilt University, per Forbes. It suits guests who want to be off Broadway.

Germantown and Beyond

None of the award-listed hotels above has a Germantown address, so treat it as a dinner neighborhood rather than a base. Soho House is in Wedgewood-Houston, and Southall is in Franklin.

Best for Couples and Quiet

Southall Farm & Inn is the choice for a slower weekend: a working farm on more than 500 acres with a spa, per Forbes. The Hermitage suits couples who want a landmark building, with tea in the lobby per MICHELIN. Soho House is small at 47 rooms, with a room key that doubles as membership for the night.

Best for Music, Art and Design

The Joseph holds close to 1,000 artworks, per Forbes. Four Seasons offers a Suite Sounds package that includes a private acoustic concert by a local songwriter, per Forbes. Soho House runs its performance space in the Sock Room and Terrace, per MICHELIN, and Fairlane keeps its 1970s bank-building interiors as the draw.

Arriving by Private Jet: BNA and John C. Tune

Two airports handle most private traffic. Nashville International (BNA) has two main FBOs. Signature Flight Support opened a $15 million, 8,000 square foot executive terminal there under a new 30-year lease with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, per Aviation International News in November 2018. Atlantic Aviation runs the other BNA FBO at 635 Hangar Lane, open 24 hours with heated hangar space for aircraft up to a Gulfstream G450, per atlanticaviation.com (2026).

John C. Tune Airport (JWN) is the reliever airport west of downtown, owned and managed by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, per a June 2015 release published by AviationPros. Aviation Week reported on August 27, 2026 that Atlantic Aviation had started building a 7,500 square foot terminal and a 37,000 square foot hangar and office complex there, with the terminal planned to open in 2027. From The Joseph, Forbes lists JWN at 12 to 20 minutes. For the flight itself, see our New York to Nashville private jet route guide and our private jet charter guide.
