The best luxury hotels in Las Vegas on the awards record are the four suite tiers that Forbes Travel Guide rates Five-Star for 2026: ARIA Sky Suites, Encore Tower Suites, Skylofts at MGM Grand and Wynn Tower Suites (Las Vegas Advisor, May 2026). For a hotel with no casino of its own, the Four Seasons and the Waldorf Astoria are two of the three AAA Five Diamond hotels for 2026, along with The Villas at Caesars Palace.

Whatever you pick, add the resort fee. Las Vegas Jaunt lists $55 a night before tax at almost every hotel below (January 2026), which becomes $62.36 with Clark County tax. Over a three-night stay that is $187.08 on top of the room rate. Hotels at this level do not publish a nightly rate on their award or press pages, so this guide ranks on awards, suite sizes and the fee, and you price your own dates on the hotel’s booking page.

For the awards behind the first group, see Forbes Five-Star hotels. The wider luxury hotels section covers other cities.

How Las Vegas Luxury Pricing Works

A Las Vegas room rate is only the start of the bill. The fee, the tax and the room tier change it.

Resort Fees

A resort fee is a mandatory nightly charge added to the room rate. Las Vegas Jaunt lists $55 a night before tax at Wynn, Encore, Bellagio, ARIA, Waldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, Venetian, Palazzo, Fontainebleau, Caesars Palace, The Cosmopolitan and Nobu Hotel (guide dated January 1, 2026). Las Vegas Advisor lists the same $55.00 for the Four Seasons, Fontainebleau, Wynn, Waldorf Astoria, ARIA, Venetian, Palazzo, Cosmopolitan and Caesars Palace on a page last updated June 25, 2025.

Fees change, so confirm the amount on the hotel’s booking page. MGM Grand, home of the Skylofts, does not appear in those lists, so ask what the Skylofts fee is.

Taxes on the Fee

Las Vegas Jaunt states that its amounts are before tax, and that Clark County tax brings $55 to $62.36 a night. Time Out Las Vegas shows the Four Seasons at $62.36 a night, which is the same $55 with tax, and the Waldorf Astoria at $55 (2026). Ask for the total at checkout.

Hotel Within a Hotel: Wynn Tower Suites, Sky Suites

Four of the Forbes Five-Star Las Vegas names are not whole hotels but premium tiers inside bigger resorts: ARIA Sky Suites, Encore Tower Suites, Skylofts at MGM Grand and Wynn Tower Suites. That is why the Forbes rating and the resort’s everyday rooms can differ. When you book, check that you are booking the suite tier and not the main tower. Forbes describes the Wynn Tower Suites rooms as having the feel of residential apartments, with soaking tubs and glass-enclosed showers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the top 5 hotels to stay at in Vegas?
On the awards record, the Forbes Five-Star names are Wynn Tower Suites, Encore Tower Suites, ARIA Sky Suites and Skylofts at MGM Grand, and the AAA Five Diamond names are the Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria and The Villas at Caesars Palace (2026). Which is right depends on whether you want a casino.
Where do wealthy people hang out in Vegas?
Wealthy visitors tend to stay in suite tiers such as Wynn Tower Suites, ARIA Sky Suites and Skylofts, which are the Forbes Five-Star names, and in villa-style products like The Villas at Caesars Palace. There is no published data on where wealthy visitors spend their time, so this is a guide to where they stay.
What is the $20 rule in Vegas?
It is a traveler practice, not a hotel policy: folding a $20 bill into your ID at check-in and asking about an upgrade. Hotels do not promise it works, and results vary. Treat it as folklore, not a guaranteed way to a better room.
What is the most expensive hotel per night in Las Vegas?
No hotel in this guide publishes a nightly rate on its award or press pages, so no single figure can be named with a source. The largest suites on Wynn's room page are Encore's Three Bedroom Duplex of 5,829 sq ft and Two Bedroom Apartment of 3,475 sq ft. Ask the hotel for a quote.
Which Las Vegas luxury hotels have no casino?
The Four Seasons and the Waldorf Astoria are the two on this list without a casino, and both hold 2026 AAA Five Diamond ratings per Las Vegas Advisor. Time Out also names Vdara as an all-suite, casino-free option.
