Did Juice WRLD own a private jet? Nothing on public record says so. He arrived at Chicago Midway on a private plane on December 8, 2019, but none of the reports we opened name the aircraft type or its owner.

This is a death, so we keep the account to what news outlets reported at the time and leave out detail that does not serve the question. We also explain why a tail number that circulates online for “his jet” does not belong to that flight.

The short answer

We found no aircraft owned by Juice WRLD. On December 8, 2019 he arrived at Midway on a private plane from Los Angeles, and reports we opened do not say whether it was chartered or give its type or owner. The tail number N773MB that appears online is now a different aircraft.

What happened at Midway in December 2019

According to a report from WJLA published December 9, 2019, the plane carrying the rapper, whose legal name was Jarad Higgins, landed at Chicago’s Midway International Airport around 2 a.m. on Sunday, December 8, after a flight from Los Angeles. Federal agents searched the plane’s cargo in a private hangar, per Revolt.

During the search the rapper had a medical emergency. WJLA reported that an agent gave him Narcan, and that he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at about 3:15 a.m.

Two security guards who had been on the plane were arrested on misdemeanor gun charges, WJLA reported. Revolt, citing the Chicago Tribune and TMZ, reported that drugs and firearms were found in the search, and that the guards were later released because they held valid concealed-carry permits.

What the reports do not say

Neither report we opened identifies the aircraft by type, registration or owner, and neither says whether it was chartered. They call it his “private plane.” We do not fill that gap with a guess.

Why the “Juice WRLD private jet number” online is wrong now

Pages around the web pair his name with the tail number N773MB, often described as a Gulfstream IV he owned. We checked the FAA registry on November 6, 2026. N773MB is a 2018 Gulfstream G280, serial number 2140, registered to AVEX IX LLC Trustee in Wilmington, Delaware, with a certificate issued on 12/28/2025.

That is a different airplane from any aircraft that flew in 2019, and no source we opened links it to him. A tail number can pass to a new aircraft after the old one is deregistered, so an old number found online tells you nothing without a dated registry record.

What a flight like Los Angeles to Chicago costs privately

Los Angeles to Chicago is a long cross-country leg, so range matters when you pick an aircraft. Charter prices depend on aircraft size, season, and whether the plane has to be positioned to the pickup city. Our private jet charter cost guide explains how a quote is built.

If you are flexible on dates, an operator’s repositioning flight can cost less than a fresh charter. We explain how to find them in our empty leg flights guide.

How we checked

On November 6, 2026 we looked up the registration N773MB in the FAA aircraft registry, which is where the number most often cited online led. We then read the WJLA report of December 9, 2019 and the Revolt article of December 10, 2019, which cites the Chicago Tribune and TMZ. We searched for a named source for the aircraft type and owner and did not find one in what we opened. The registry cannot show who chartered an aircraft.
