Jerry Jones travels in his personal Gulfstream V, SlashGear reported in January 2026. The report does not give a tail number, so this page sets out what the FAA registry does show for a Gulfstream V in Frisco, Texas, and what it cannot prove.
The short version: the press gives the model, the registry gives an aircraft and a company, and no source we opened joins the two by name. Below is the record, what the jet is, and what a G-V costs to own or charter.
The short answer
SlashGear reported in January 2026 that Jones travels in his personal Gulfstream V. FAA registry records show N1DC, a 2001 Gulfstream G-V, serial 651, registered to Blue Star Management Services Corp at 1 Cowboys Way in Frisco, Texas. The filing names a company, not Jerry Jones, and no press source we opened ties N1DC to him.
Does Jerry Jones have a private jet?
Yes, according to SlashGear, which wrote in a January 18, 2026 article that Jones “travels in his personal Gulfstream V jet.” That is the model. The registration is a separate question, because SlashGear does not name one.
The FAA registry lists a Gulfstream G-V, N1DC, to Blue Star Management Services Corp, with a street address of 1 Cowboys Way in Frisco. A registry entry records a company and an address, not the person who flies on the aircraft, and we found no named press report that identifies Blue Star Management Services Corp or N1DC as Jones’s. So we report the record as it stands and do not draw the link ourselves.
Which Gulfstream
Some web pages describe a larger, newer Gulfstream. The only named report we opened, SlashGear’s, says Gulfstream V, and the registry record for N1DC is also a G-V. The two agree on the model; neither states that they describe the same airframe.
Reading the N1DC record
A registry entry has several fields, and each one tells you something different.
- Model and year: Gulfstream G-V, built in 2001, serial number 651.
- Status: Valid, meaning the registration is current.
- Owner: Blue Star Management Services Corp, Frisco, Texas.
- Certificate date: January 9, 2004. That is when the current registration certificate was issued, so it marks when this registration took effect, not when the plane was built. A jet built in 2001 was registered to this owner roughly three years later.
What the record cannot tell you
It does not tell you who flies on the aircraft, how often, or whether the company leases it out. It also does not tell you what the company is beyond its name. Management services companies often exist to hold assets and pay the bills for an owner, which is common and legal, and is why a name search for the person would not have found this jet.
The Gulfstream V: still a long-range workhorse
The Gulfstream V is a large-cabin, long-range business jet, built to fly transcontinental and transoceanic trips nonstop, which is why jets of this generation still fly in corporate fleets decades after they were built. For how it compares with newer models on range, see our guide to the longest range private jets.
Age matters in a plausible way. A 2001 airframe sells for far less than a new G650, but it needs the same crew, the same insurance and, as it ages, more maintenance. We give no price for N1DC, because we found no sale record.
Cost of the Cowboys’ private jet: owning and running a G-V
The question people type is the cost of the Cowboys’ private jet. Without a sale record, we cannot give a purchase price for this aircraft, and we will not copy a number from a content site. What we can show is the structure of the cost.
Owning a large jet means paying every year for pilots, hangar space, insurance, scheduled maintenance, navigation and fuel, whether the aircraft flies or not. Our cost of owning a private jet page breaks those items down. Charter is the way to avoid all of it: you pay per flight, and our private jet charter cost guide explains how quotes for large jets are built.
How the team itself travels
A professional football team moves dozens of people and a lot of equipment, which a Gulfstream cannot do. The same SlashGear article says the Cowboys use a chartered Boeing 777, and that the owner’s Gulfstream V is a separate aircraft for his own business travel. Our page on Clark Hunt’s private jet shows how another NFL owner’s aircraft appears in the registry, and Tom Brady’s private jet covers a player’s.
How we checked
On November 6, 2026 we searched the FAA aircraft registry by N-number for N1DC and read the full record: manufacturer, model, year, serial number, status, certificate date, owner name and address. We also read SlashGear’s January 2026 report for the model. We did not find a press source we could open that names Jerry Jones as the person behind Blue Star Management Services Corp, so we do not make that link. If the registration changes, this page will go out of date, so check the date at the top.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the cost of the Cowboys' private jet?
- We found no purchase record for N1DC, a 2001 Gulfstream G-V, so we cannot give a price. Annual costs include crew, hangar, insurance, maintenance and fuel. Our owning guide shows how those add up, and our charter guide shows what flying a similar jet costs per trip.
- What plane does Jerry Jones have?
- SlashGear reported in January 2026 that Jones travels in his personal Gulfstream V. The FAA registry lists a 2001 Gulfstream G-V, N1DC, to Blue Star Management Services Corp in Frisco, Texas, but the filing names the company, not Jones, and no source we opened ties that aircraft to him.
- Do the Cowboys have their own plane?
- We found no aircraft registered under the name "Cowboys" in the FAA registry. SlashGear reported in January 2026 that the team uses a chartered Boeing 777. Teams usually charter large airliners for away games, since a business jet cannot carry a full traveling party and its equipment.
