Does Clark Hunt have a private jet? We searched the FAA aircraft registry under his name, the Kansas City Chiefs and Hunt Oil, and each search returned no aircraft. That is a real result, but it is not proof that Hunt has never flown on one, because owners often register aircraft through companies and trusts.

Hunt is chairman and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs and is based in Dallas. That commute, and a team that flies across the country every season, make the question reasonable. Here is what the record shows and how this kind of flying usually works.

The short answer

We found no aircraft registered to Clark Hunt, the Kansas City Chiefs or Hunt Oil in the FAA registry on November 6, 2026. That does not rule out aircraft held through an LLC or trust, or flights on chartered and fractional jets.

Does Clark Hunt Have a Private Jet?

On the evidence we can verify, no aircraft is registered to him by name. We also found nothing under the team or the family’s oil company. We are not aware of any named source that links a specific aircraft to Hunt, and we will not guess at tail numbers.

Pages around the web list a Boeing 767, a Bombardier Global or a Gulfstream G650 as his jet. None of them names a registration or a source, so we do not repeat them as fact.

What We Searched and What an Empty Result Means

We ran four name searches in the FAA Civil Aviation Registry: “HUNT CLARK”, “KANSAS CITY CHIEFS”, “CHIEFS” and “HUNT OIL”. All four returned zero aircraft.

The registry is the strongest public source for who owns a US aircraft, but it only records the registered owner. That is why we describe results as “registered to” rather than “owned by.”

Do the Chiefs Have Their Own Plane?

We found no record that the Chiefs own a team aircraft. The two NFL teams we found reported as owning their own large planes are the Patriots and the Cardinals. Sports Illustrated reported in August 2017 that the New England Patriots bought two Boeing 767 wide-body jets, making them the first NFL team to own their own aircraft. ch-aviation reported in December 2021 that the Arizona Cardinals bought a former Delta Air Lines Boeing 777-200ER, the second NFL team to do so.

With no team aircraft on record, the Chiefs appear to be in the group that charters. A charter operator supplies the aircraft and crew for each trip, which is how most teams handle road games. ch-aviation noted that chartering for frequent away games is a complicated task given rosters of up to 53 players plus staff, which is part of why those two teams decided to buy.
